Port au Prince, March 7 (RHC)—Former US President Bill Clinton arrived in Haiti on Wednesday to promote actions by his foundation, which was created following the January 10 earthquake and has been accused of dirty use of funds.

Kabul, March 7 (RHC)-- Six British occupation soldiers were killed in southern Afghanistan when their vehicle was hit by an explosion, taking the UK military death toll to 404.  The attack was the biggest single loss of British life at one time in Afghanistan since 2006, when 14 troops were killed.

Mexico City, March 7 (RHC) -- Violence in Mexico has caused the forced movement of people in at least 10 states of the country, almost one-third of Mexican territory, according to a survey carried out by the Norwegian Council for Refugees.

Tripoli, March 7 (RHC)-- The president of the National Transitional Council of Libya, Mustafa Abdel Jalil, has said he will defend national unity "with force" after tribal leaders and a political faction declared that the east would become a semi-autonomous region.

Caracas, March 7 (PL-RHC) -- Venezuela is developing a new educational program called “Todas y todos a la escuela” (Everybody to School) aimed at incorporating children and youth with disabilities into the education system, the Ministry of Education said in a press release.

United Nations, March 6 (RHC)-- The United States proposed a new UN Security Council resolution regarding Syria on Tuesday, which was discussed behind closed doors by the five permanent Council members -- the United States, Russia, China, Britain and France.  Morocco, the only Arab representative on the Security Council, also met to discuss the draft resolution.

Lima, March 7 (ANDINA-RHC) -- Peruvian and Colombian Foreign Ministers singed a joint declaration to speed up the demining in regional organizations in order to reach the objective of declaring Latin America as a zone free of antipersonnel mines.

Washington, March 7 (RHC)-- U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has won a string of 'Super Tuesday' victories with a thin lead in the swing state of Ohio.  As expected, Romney cruised to victory in his home state of Massachusetts, as well as Idaho, Vermont, Virginia and Alaska.

Washington, March 7 (RHC)-- The White House has moved the upcoming G-8 meeting from Chicago to the heavily guarded Camp David in Maryland.  Chicago was preparing to hold back-to-back meetings in May of the G-8 and NATO.  The NATO meeting is reportedly still happening in Chicago as planned.

Washington, March 7 (RHC)-- New data show Black students in the United States face far harsher punishments in public schools than their white peers.  Data released by the U.S. Department of Education show that while Black students constituted only 18 percent of those enrolled in sample schools, they accounted for 39 percent of all school expulsions.

Washington, March 7, (RHC), -- US Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul slammed the US military presence in the Middle East and called for a full withdrawal of American troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.
