BRICS Banks to Sign Pacts to Push forward Local Currency Lending

New Delhi, March 28 (Xinhua-RHC) – The China Development Bank (CDB) and its BRICS’ counterparts will sign agreements on Thursday to formalize cooperation in local currency lending, in a bid to further facilitate trade and investment among the five countries, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Russia Urges Syrian Opposition to Support Annan's Proposal

Moscow, March 28 (Xinhua-RHC) Russia urged the Syrian opposition to support a proposal tabled by U.N.-Arab League joint envoy Kofi Annan to end the crisis in the country. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said, "It is extremely important that the Syrian opposition groups should follow the Damascus example and clearly voice their consent to the U.N.-supported proposal... tabled by the U.N. and AL special envoy." Lukashevich said in a statement that there was a real opportunity to implement lawful aspirations of all Syrians with respect to the country's sovereignty and independence and with the consolidated support of the international community to Annan's mission, adding, "Such a chance should not be missed."

Bolivia denies existence of arms transfer agreement with U.S.
