Changes Made to Cuba’s Legislation throughout History

Havana, May 24 (RHC) – Speaking at the VI International Meeting on Justice and Law being held in Havana’s International Conference Center, Homero Acosta, Secretary of the Cuban State Council noted multiple changes made to the Cuban legislation throughout history.

German Parliamentarians Demand U.S. Release of the Cuban Five

Berlin, May 24 (RHC) -- German parliamentarians demanded that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder act in favour of the release and return to Cuba of the Five antiterrorists condemned to long unjust sentences in the northern country. In a letter sent to the U.S. Justice Department through the German Embassy in Washington, 17 federal signatory legislators, all members of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, also expressed great concern over the progress and outcome of the legal proceedings against these five men.

Cuban Oil Refinery to Eliminate all Pollutants in its Emissions

UN Official Affirms Cuba is the Safest Country in Latin America

Havana, May 24 (RHC) – The Director of the Latin American Institute for Crime Prevention, of the United Nations, Elías Carranza, spoke at the opening of the VI International Meeting on Justice and Law, being held in Havana’s International Conference Center, and highlighted Cuba’s achievements in crime reduction, declaring it to be the safest country in the region.

Mariela Castro Says Miami Mafia Hampers Normalization of U.S.-Cuba Relations

San Francisco, May 24 (RHC) --  Mariela Castro, director of Cuba’s National Center for Sex Education, spoke harsh words about Cuban-Americans who support the economic and travel sanctions against Cuba. She said that an anti-Cuban mafia made up of unscrupulous elements is holding the U.S. people hostage.
