Vietnam Condemns Washington’s Blockade Against Cuba

Hanoi, February 18 (RHC) -- The Homeland Front -- the largest mass organization in Vietnam -- has reiterated its rejection of Washington’s 50-year-old blockade against Cuba.

During a meeting in Hanoi with representatives of Cuba’s Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, officials of the Vietnamese organization promised to redouble their efforts to end the U.S. blockade.

Juynh Dam, the leader of the Vietnamese organization, met with Carlos Rafael Miranda, head of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), and said that the Vietnamese people will never forget Cuba’s solidarity in their fight for independence and national reunification.

Juynh Dam highlighted the Cuban people’s efforts to construct a better society and expressed his conviction that the updating of the economic model taking place in Cuba will be successful.

Both leaders vowed to strengthen cooperation between the largest mass organizations of Cuba and Vietnam and agreed to continue promoting the fraternal ties that exist between the two nations.
