Actions Made in Solidarity with the Cuban Five
Havana, April 7 (RHC) The International Committee to Free the Cuban Five in the United States placed a huge billboard on a busy California freeway, which calls for President Barack Obama to release the political prisoners.
All the cars driving by the billboard on the busy San Francisco Bay Area freeway could clearly see the sign for the cause of FernandoGonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Rene Gonzalez and Gerardo Hernandez, who are suffering unjust sentences in the U.S. since 1998.
Brazilian Anita Prestes, daughter of international activists Luiz CarlosPrestes and Olga Benario, made a statement denouncing the violation of human rights against the fiveCuban political prisoners. In Brasilia, members of the National Association of Cuban Residents in Brazil spoke with relatives of The Five, and reiterated their firm determination to continue the battle for their freedom. As part of the Campaign Five by Five, last Thursday, people around the world made phone calls to the White House and sent emails to President Obama to demand justice in the case of the fiveCubans anti-terrorist fighters.
