Bicentenary of the murder of the Cuban patriot Jose Antonio Aponte Recalled in Havana

Havana, April 10 (RHC) -- The President of the National Assembly of the Popular Power of Cuba, Ricardo Alarcon, assured that the display of virtues of the people represents the best way of recalling Jose Antonio Aponte, who was at the head of the first conspiracy against the colonial Spanish government in the Caribbean nation. In an act held in Havana, on purpose of the bicentenary of the murder of the notable patriot, Alarcon recalled once again that Aponte was hung as a lesson for his proposals to achieve the independence of Cuba.
