Cuba Offers Condolences for Death of Ben Bella
Havana, Apr 18 (RHC) Cuba’s First Vice-President José Ramón Machado Ventura visited the Algerian embassy in Havana to sign on behalf of the Cuban government the book of condolences opened after the death of former president Ahmed Ben Bella.
The Cuban official offered the Algerian ambassador Cuba’s deepest condolences, the Cuban news agency reported.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez also went to sign the book.
The first president of independent Algeria (1963-1965) Ahmed Ben Bella passed away on April 11th, 2012 at the age of 96. (ACN)
