Guamá, April 26 (ACN-RHC) Experts on renewable energy sources praised Cuba´s example in the use of these alternatives in an
efficient and sustainable way in Guamá, in the Eastern province of Granma and Santiago de Cuba. Enrico Turrino, founding member of Eurosolar and honorary member of CubaSolar, considered that
the island is a model other countries should adopt in order to make an adequate use of clean energy for the benefit of people and for the protection of the environment.
He highlighted the solar energy projects carried out in the municipalities of Bartolome Maso and Guama, in the eastern provinces of Granma and Santiago de Cuba, where thermal, photoelectric, wind, water and biomass sources are used for the sustainable development of these communities.
Some 200 delegates from 13 countries are taking part in the 10th CubaSolar International Workshop, which will run until Friday in the coastal municipality of Guama, about 60 kilometers from the city of Santiago de Cuba.
