Cuba Ratifies Unity of Latin American and Caribbean Peoples
Havana, May 10 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, reaffirmed the will of all Latin American and Caribbean peoples for the Non-aligned Movement Ministerial Meeting to turn into a platform to defend and promote their inalienable, legitimate rights.
Addressing the meeting in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, Rodríguez pointed to the significance of the recently created Community of Latin American and Caribbean States as a big step forward towards genuine regional integration.
The top Cuban diplomat explained that regional peoples are now more convinced than ever that unity is the only solution to advance the region’s interests and confront current and future challenges.
Bruno Rodríguez said that the meeting in the world-famous Egyptian tourist resort paves the way for the success of the Non-Aligned Movement Summit in August in Iran, where the heads of state and governments of the NAM member states will review the group’s work results, discuss issues of common interest and agree on the work guidelines and plan of action for the next three-year period.
