Havana, June 16 (RHC) In his most recent reflections on June 16, Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro remembers Cuban National Poet Nicolas Guillen and Cuban-Argentinean guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara. Fidel cites a stanza by one of Guillen´s poems dedicated to Che Guevara. “Che Commander and Friend.” Fidel describes the last stanza of the poem as beautiful ending verses:

Nicolás Guillén

¡Salud Guevara!

O mejor todavía desde el hondón americano:
Espéranos. Partiremos contigo. Queremos
morir para vivir como tú has muerto,
para vivir como tú vives,
Che Comandante, amigo.

Hermosos versos finales del Poeta Nacional.

These verses reads: …wait for us. We´ll depart with you. We want to die so that we can live like you have died,

to live like you are living, Che Commander and Friend.
