Argentinean Forensic Team Finds Remains of Cuban Diplomat Disappeared in Argentina
Havana, August 2 (RHC) Experts with the Argentinean Forensic Anthropology Team identified the mortal remains of Crescencio Galanega Hernandez, one of two Cuban diplomats, who were kidnapped and disappeared by the military dictatorship that ruled Argentina in 1976.
According to Pagina 12 newspaper, the expert team said that the remains found last June in a metal barrel full of cement had 99. 99 percent chance of belonging to Cuban diplomat Galanega Hernandez, who was kidnapped on August 9, 1976 along with Jesus Cejas, a few blocks from the Cuban embassy.
Both men were taken to the Automotores Orletti illegal detention center, one of the facilities used by the Condor Plan, where they were tortured and later disappeared, PL news agency reported from Buenos Aires.
