Over One Thousand Specialists Enrolled in Health Convention
Havana, August 11 (ACN-RHC) More than one thousand specialists from 31 nations have signed up for the 2012 Cuba Health Convention, which will take place at the Convention Center in Havana from December 3rd through the 7th. According to a press release by the organizing committee, there are currently professionals from Spain, Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Angola, Madagascar, Turkey, Costa Rica, Saint Lucia, Panama, Peru, the United States, and Sudan enrolled for the convention.
The theme of this year´s convention is “Health for all for the well-being of all,” and the event´s fundamental purpose is to analyze the sanitation situation of the world and try to promote health issues in society in general and in the social and economic policies. The participants will also examine transformations in health systems, the quality of services and efforts in sanitation. Parallel to the convention, and commercial exposition will be held in which businesses, laboratories, and specialist companies from Cuba and other countries will display their equipment, technologies, and medications. The convention is sponsored by the Ministries of Public Health, Science, Technology, and Environment, Superior Education, the Science Academy of Cuba, and the Panamerican and World Health Organizations.
