Some 1,000 people with obesity disorders benefitted in Cuba from specialized surgical techniques applied by the Multidisciplinary Group of Bariatric Surgery of the Havana-based Calixto Garcia University Hospital.
Over 14 Thousand Patients Benefited with Cuban Pharmaceuticals

More than 14,000 patients in Cuba have benefited with the pharmaceuticals produced by the Havana-based Molecular Immunology Center (CIM), which increased its production of medications to treat cancer and other chronic, non-transmissible diseases in 2012.
Over 40 thousand Cuban professionals are currently working in 65 countries, in sectors such as health and education, as part of the island’s international cooperation based on sharing the local achievements in favor universal social development.
Cuba will start a national vaccination campaign against seasonal flu for over half a million people from November 20 to December 15. The immunization includes people over 85 years old and others identified as highly vulnerable population groups.
