Cuban triple jumper Mabel Gay won the gold medal at the Athletics Grand Prix, Brazilian state of Pará, where her compatriots, discus throwers Denia Caballero and Yarelis Barrios finished in 3^rd and 4^th places, in that order.

Gay jumped 14.40 meters, followed by Jamaican Trecia Smith (14.05) and her teammate Dailenis Alcántara (13.99), respectively.

Caballero and Barrios achieved 60.80 and 60.13 meters, in that order, behind Aretha Thurmond (U.S., 61.41) and Zinaida Sendri (LTU-61.24).
