News Cuban Obregón Crowned in Torredembarra Chess Tournament

Cuban chess player Juan Carlos Obregón won the 1st seat in Torredembarra Open Chess Tournament in Catalonia, Spain with 8 points out of a possible 9, and was escorted by his fellow Lelys Martinez with 7.5.
According to the official Web site of the competition, Obregón won 7 games, made 2 draws and added 11.8 units to his ELO rating, now 2479.
Lelys also won 7 times, tied 1 and was defeated by Pogolevov, who took the final round in the 2nd position and finished in 5th for 1 reverse.
