News Cuban Cyclists Highlight Venezuelan Tour

The men's cycling squad of Cuba, led by Arnold Alcolea, gave an outstanding performance at the XLIX Venezuela’s Tour on Tuesday, after making 4th place by teams in the 5th stage of the competition.
Alcolea entered 9th, 13 seconds behind the first place, won by the host Jackson Rodriguez (3:51.29 hours) from the Italian Androni-Giocattoli team.
Richard Ochoa, from the Government of Carabobo and Pedro Gutierrez from the Government of Zulia, in that order, escorted the winner on the podium, said the event's Web site.
Athletes will run today the 176.1 km. race between the towns of Altagracia de Orituco and Cagua.
