Cuba Jumped to Place 13th in Olympic Medal Standing

The title of the wrestler Mijaín López and the leading surprise of the pole-vaulter Yarisley Silva, catapulted Cuba on Monday to the 13th place in the Olympic medal standing.

altCuba has now accumulated 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals, to lead the Latin-American countries, in a list led by China (31-19-14), USA (29-15-19) and Britain (18-11-11), in that order.
