Cuban Boxing Secured Its Second Bronze in London
The Cuban boxing team secured its 2nd bronze medal in London yesterday through Yasnier Toledo in 60 kg.
Toledo, world runner-up, overcame the Kazakh Gani Zhailauov by 19-11 in the quarterfinals with markers 5-3, 6-4, 8-4.
The next bout of the also Continental king in Guadalajara 2011 will be on Friday in the semifinals against the Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko, who beat Puerto Rican Félix Verdejo by 14-9.
Meanwhile, the world champion Lázaro Álvarez in the 56 kg., got the first bronze medal by defeating Brazilian Robenilson Vieira de Jesús by 16-11.
