Survey in Egypt Reveals Majority of Egyptians Prefer Assistance from Iran Rather than U.S.
Cairo, April 3 (RHC) A survey done by the U.S.-based firm Galup revealed that eighty-two percent of Egyptians would prefer economic assistance from Iran instead of the military assistance they are receiving from the United States, which they consider as a compromise to the sovereignty of their country.
The survey indicates that the rate of rejection of Washington has been growing in Egypt since last year, in contrast to the number of citizens who are leaning towards Iran, despite the absence of diplomatic relations between the two countries since 1979. The survey confirms that 65 percent of Egyptians renounce the policy of U.S. President Barack Obama, which designates 1.5 billion dollars annually to Cairo, most of which is designated for military expenses.
