China Sends Strong Protest to U.S. for Critical Military Report
Beijing, May 21 (RHC)-- China has expressed its strong opposition to a recent U.S. report on the military development of the Asian country, calling for Washington to take concrete steps to promote bilateral relations.
In Beijing, a defense ministry spokesperson said that the normal military development of China has been unjustly described as a "threat" by Washington. Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Geng Yansheng said that allegations of a possible Chinese military threat are wrong and baseless, adding that the policy of his country is purely defensive in nature.
