Damascus, May 28 (RHC)-- Demonstrations were held over the weekend in a number of Syrian cities in support of actions by the Syrian government against terrorist groups.  During a demonstration in al-Hijaz Square in Damascus, hundreds of people expressed their condemnation of the violent groups and their rejection of foreign interference.

According to Prensa Latina news agency, the demonstrators chanted slogans in support of the Syrian Army, emphasizing their sacrifice to preserve the dignity and pride of country.

In other cities across Syria, protesters reiterated their decision to stand firm and support the reform process introduced by the government of President Bashar al-Assad.
