Western Media Falsify Facts in Syria, says Russian Official visiting Damascus

Damascus, July 1 (RHC) The western media is manipulating the Syrian reality by publishing false stories, said Sergei Ordzhonikidze, who is heading a Russian delegation to Damascus.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, during a meeting with deputy foreign ministry Fayssal Mikdad, the Russian official stressed his country’s understanding of the events taking place in the Arab nation and he said his delegation will take the real story to the Russian public opinion. alt

Meanwhile, the Syrian deputy foreign ministers expressed Syria's appreciation for Russia's support of Syria in the current crisis.

Mikdad reiterated Syria's commitment to the plan of the UN Special Envoy to Syria, Kofi Anann, and its effort to make his mission a success.
