Cuba Ratifies Its Help to Haiti

Havana, July 30 (ACN-RHC) The president of the International Affairs commission of the Cuban Parliament, Ramon Pez Ferro, reaffirmed on Thursday that Cuba will continue supporting Haiti in its recovery from the January earthquake. Pez Ferro made the statement after a researcher with the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Center presented a study about the current social, economic and political situation of Haiti to the deputies of the working group.

July Becomes Deadliest Month for U.S. Occupation Troops in Afghanistan

Kabul, July 30 (RHC)-- Three more U.S. occupation troops have been killed in Afghanistan, making July the deadliest month for the United States of the nearly nine-year war of aggression. At least sixty-three U.S. troops have died so far this month, surpassing last month’s record toll.
